Michall Broussard's Equine Blog

michall & husky

Hello, fellow horse lovers! My name is Michall Broussard. I train performance horses and rehab abused horses at my farm near DeRidder, Louisiana. I also work part-time at a small animal clinic in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. My partner Rand Vaudt and I practice mobile equine dentistry in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. We love giving clinics to 4-H groups and to anyone who wants to know more about equine dentistry and horses in general.

I compete on my red roan gelding Buckshot, my best friend. I saddle-broke him when he was 2. A little girl rode him for two years and, when she outgrew him, her family gave him to me. Buckshot isn’t very fast, but he is consistent. He runs a perfect, clean barrel pattern every time.  We’re doing our best to win the DeRidder Riding Club All-Around Champion saddle this year! My fingers are crossed.

I also write Young Adult fiction.
